Centering Breath

This deep breathing exercise quickly counters the stress response and offers a strategy for quick stress relief.  This breath is a nice long deep even inhale and exhale, slowing and deepening the breath in an even pace and manner.  This breath takes control of stress and promotes relaxation and focus.

So next time you feel the stress rising, try this breathing technique to redirect the stimuli to your nervous system into fight/flight/ freeze mode and stimulate the rest/digest/repair/restore activities of your body.
