FREE ONLINE YOGA CLASSES

With the fear of the Coronavirus spreading Torrance Memorial Medical Center has cancelled all of my classes for this session. That could mean we will not practice yoga until May 12th and that is not ok! Yoga is more important now than ever.  Since we can't be in person physically I am going to offer classes online. We will still be together each week and I will share the wisdom of yoga so you can stay on top of preserving the strength in your body and mind. Isolation is a huge contributing factor to ill health these days and our classes offer the opportunity to be social with each other. We can't stop all the progress so many of you have made over the years of practicing yoga with me. We also need meditation and breath work now more than ever to calm the nervous system from all the fear and uncertainty out there.

This class focuses on poses, breath work and body awareness to stimulate bone growth, increase flexibility and strength and range of motion in joints.  Attention on posture and balance to increase confidence and aid in reduced risk of falling.  Floor, chairs and standing poses.

Yoga for Wellness: Wednesday 9:30am - 10:45am pst

This class focuses on correct postural alignment, increasing strength, flexibility and range of motion, creating healthy breathing habits and restoring vital energy to the body, mind and spirit.  I focus a lot on back health in this class.

Yoga Therapy for Improved Balance and Posture: Wednesday 11am - 12:15pm pst

This class is designed to improve: your core strength, lengthen and strengthen muscles that support posture, neuromuscular communication to support balance, increase flexibility, develop body awareness to help self correct posture and increase range of motion in your joints.  In addition learn breathing techniques to support health.

This class focuses is on poses that will reinforce body awareness, improve reflexes, agility and coordination vital for daily living activities.  In addition, strengthen core and postural muscles that aid in the ability to prevent falls.

Yoga for Stress Reduction: Saturday: 9:30am - 10:45am pst

This class focuses on gently increasing strength, flexibility, improving balance, stability for joint health, breathing habits and restoring vital energy to the body and mind. We will use the physical poses to release the tension held in our body during these uncertain times. We will also ground our energy mentally and practice breath work and meditation to help calm the nervous system.  Gather towels, blankets and pillows to make yourself comfortable during the guided meditations. We will work mainly on the floor and in a chair.  All levels are welcome.
