WITH MOVEMENT, BREATH & MINDSET
Two-Week Workshop Beginning February 16th
Tuesdays @ 4-6pm pst
Aging begins in our 30’s when the processes of degeneration overtakes our ability to rebuild and we lose our resiliency. This loss of resiliency includes many factors: diminishing hormones, muscle and bone loss and a shift in our physiology from the effects of stress and in particular chronic stress on our body and mind. We will learn insight and tools from yoga and functional medicine to implement this wisdom into your body, mind and soul to take care of “you” as you age.

Summary of Each Session
In week one, we will focus on using movement and mindset to slow the aging process down and understand the affects of stress on our physical, mental, and emotional health. We will create more awareness in our bodies to give us greater control of our reactions and responses and understand how those remain in our bodies. Stress held in the body leads to accelerated aging.

- Balance mind which will help regulate your hormones
- Improve emotional wellbeing
- Improve range of motion in your joints and remove stress and strain
- Maintain the integrity of your pelvic floor and core
In week two, we will build on the information from week one. We will practice slow movements to increase your inner body awareness to uncover stored tension or issues in your tissues so you can release what no longer serves you. When we slow the practice down, we notice dysfunctional patterns in our body and mind and with this newfound awareness we can shift and work on improving function to keep you strong and health as you age. Building strength will be our main focus.
- Movements to keep your muscles and bones strong and limber
- Notice the holding patterns and relationship between what you are thinking/ feeling and the alignment of your body.
- Learn to un-do the tension as you are holding it
- We will move slow and with awareness to notice movement in our joints and uncover dysfunctional patterns
During this two-session series, we will practice movement, meditation and breath work along with group discussion on how to age gracefully. All levels welcome.
The beauty of allowing movement, breath and a healthy mindset to help us to age gracefully is that everything we do permeates out into the rest of our lives.

I am a Certified Yoga Therapist sharing the wisdom of yoga and evidence based research to help empower my students to utilize the tremendous healing potential that exists within each and everyone of us. Moderating the stress in our lives is how we can remain in balance and attain optimal health from a metabolic, physiological and biochemical aspect. Yoga has tools for the mind to help self modulate stress and for the body to keep you strong, limber and mobile and out of pain or discomfort.
As a Certified Health Coach, I work with you to uncover hidden stress inside your body and mind. Once we discover possible imbalances and stressors I will empower you to implement behavioral, dietary and lifestyle changes to move toward thriving health.
